This iconic 65 storey building completed in 1988 is the tallest building in the heart of Georgetown. What does KOMTAR mean? Kompleks Tunku Abdul Razak, named after the second Prime Minister of Malaysia. It is still the tallest building on Penang and can be seen from almost anywhere along the west coast of the Island

A marina with retail shops and apartments. It also houses the Performing Arts Centre. Usually very quiet in the day . We like it so, obviously not the retail shop owners.
